Tighter cooperation between Beyond.pl and RETN

Poznan, Poland – 3 April 2017 – An international network service provider RETN announced the launch of its new PoP at the first Rated 4 ANSI/TIA-942 certified data center facility in Poland operated by the leading data center in the region – Beyond.pl. This is the second RETN PoP at Beyond.pl and 11th in Poland.

Beyond.pl is the first carrier neutral data center in Poland and offers clients an access to more than 20 global and domestic operators. “Being carrier neutral is among our core values,” said Bartlomiej Danek, Vice President Beyond.pl. “Possibility to cooperate with top providers such as RETN helps us maintain our neutrality and enables us to offer our customers the freedom to contract with the provider of their choice.” To get the above mentioned Rated 4 certificate, Data Center 2 had to meet restrictive conditions from four areas: architecture, mechanics, power and telecommunication.

RETN has started cooperation with Beyond.pl in 2013 having deployed a PoP at Data Center 1. “We changed a lot since then as our company has been developing fast and extended its capacity significantly in Eastern Europe”, stated Daniel Jasinski, Managing Director at RETN Poland Sp. z o.o.

RETN has over 32 000 km of fiber on its pan-European network which connects 29 countries across Europe, Asia and North America. “This new RETN PoP at Beyond.pl Data Center 2 will contribute to the previous RETN’s achievements in the field of network connectivity in the region. We are happy to have such a modern and highly secured data center connected to our network”, stated Jasinski.

As with the availability of data, Beyond.pl also chooses redundant solutions in the field of telecommunications. Both data centers have been linked over a fiber optic ring with its own connection points to the leading telecom carriers.

Beyond.pl also initiated and founded the Poznan Internet eXchange (PIX). PIX reduces routing paths and server response time improving the quality of access to internet resources stored on connected companies’ networks. Beyond.pl traffic exchange point operates Google Global Cache servers.
