Homepage Newsroom News Beyond.pl assesses the terms of the European AI Gigafactories tender Beyond.pl assesses the terms of the European AI Gigafactories tender 11 September 2026 Beyond.pl has been actively involved in the EU AI Gigafactories initiative for over a year. The company is currently reviewing the tender requirements and evaluating potential models for participation. No final decision has yet been made regarding the submission of a bid. The AI Gigafactories initiative is one of the EU’s key programmes aimed at expanding Europe’s computing infrastructure for artificial intelligence. Its goal is to establish seven large-scale computing environments across Europe, designed to support the development and training of advanced AI models. Details about the EU tender can be found here. Financing and partnerships will be critical to the next stage The tender terms announced on 30 July changed the original assumptions around how the AI Gigafactories would be structured and delivered. Responsibility for project development, financing and building the required partnerships now rests with the entities seeking to participate in the initiative. Further details on the EU tender are available here. In response to the new terms, Beyond.pl has launched a detailed review of the tender documentation and potential scenarios for its further involvement. “We are currently conducting a detailed assessment of the terms of the EU tender for an AI Gigafactory. We have appointed a team of legal and external advisors to review the documentation and evaluate potential partnership models. Our focus is on developing the project to a stage where submitting a bid becomes a viable option,” says Wojciech Stramski, CEO of Beyond.pl. A key consideration in preparing a potential bid is the financing model. According to the EU assumptions, a single AI Gigafactory could represent an investment of approximately EUR 3–5 billion. “The intention to participate is not enough. The financing structure will be critical. At the investment scale envisaged by the European Union – approximately EUR 3–5 billion per project – it is difficult to assume that the entire project could be financed with private capital alone. External financial institutions will need to be involved, and they too will need to be comfortable with both the project structure and the underlying terms of the investment,” adds Wojciech Stramski. Under the current tender schedule, interested parties have until 12 November to submit their formal bids. Beyond.pl continues to expand its own AI Factory Regardless of its decision on the European tender, Beyond.pl continues to expand its own AI Factory at the company’s Data Center Campus in Poznan. It is the first private AI Factory launched in Central and Eastern Europe, powered by the F.I.N. supercomputer built on the NVIDIA DGX SuperPOD reference architecture. Beyond.pl is steadily increasing the GPU compute capacity available to customers and developing services to support AI projects. The infrastructure enables organisations to build, train and scale AI workloads, with services including GPUaaS, AIaaS, GPU Colocation and Managed Services.
