Beyond.pl partner of the Sustainable Industry Lab 2025 (SILAB’25) conference

On 27 February 2025, the 2nd edition of the Sustainable Industry Lab 2025 conference, organized by UNEP/GRID-Warsaw, will take place at the Copernicus Science Center in Warsaw. Beyond.pl is a partner of the event.

The Sustainability Industry Lab (SILAB’25) is a conference integrating science, business, and government to scale up innovative solutions aligned with sustainable development. The second edition of the conference will focus on integrating digital and environmental transformation as key elements in the decarbonization of cities and industry. These themes are closely linked to the Global Digital Compact, announced at the UN Summit for the Future in September 2024.

Piotr Kowalski, Head of Innovation, will represent Beyond.pl at this year’s conference. Piotr will provide substantive support for the event in the panel discussion ‘The role of AI in decarbonization’ and will give an expert presentation, ‘Sustainable digital transformation – data centers, AI and energy at the heart of innovation.’

During the panel discussion, Piotr Kowalski will present the perspective of a data center operator ready to maintain high-density IT infrastructure. The expert talk will also provide an opportunity to introduce pro-environmental projects implemented by Beyond.pl, including the waste heat recovery initiative in cooperation with the heating company Veolia Energia Poznan and using 100% renewable energy to power its data centers. The panel will also include Professor Joanna Jaworek-Korjakowska, Director of the Center of Excellence in AI from AGH University of Science and Technology, Przemysław Kulik, Director of the CSR and Sustainability Reporting Office at Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego, and Mariusz Chudy, Partner and CEE Cloud & Digital Leader at PwC Poland.

Attendees at Sustainable Industry Lab 2025 will also be treated to several talks and presentations on the future shape of data center infrastructure resulting from the development of AI technologies and the impact of AI on the ability to meet sustainability goals across industries. Also high on SILAB’25’s agenda will be discussions on data centers’ energy, water, and computing power requirements and the implementation of technologies to improve energy, water efficiency, waste reduction, and process optimization. Participants in presentations and panel discussions will also discuss tools and strategies to support sustainability and supply chains using low-carbon digital technologies.

We invite you to attend the event to discuss the safe and low-emitting maintenance of IT infrastructure.
