M2DC working meeting in Palaiseau

Members of the international consortium working on M2DC project met on July 11-12 in Palaiseau (France). Beyond.pl was represented by Paweł Stefański, our Chief Engineer.

As usual the meeting was hosted by one of the Partners. This time it took place in headquarter of French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA). The main objective of the meeting was to present recent progress in the project and prepare for the review in front of the European Commission.

“The longest discussion was about using OpenStack to run server machines,” reports Paweł Stefański. “One of my tasks was to lead a seminar on this topic. I showed how to use OpenStack and outlined main challenges we are going to face regarding the code development and potential risks that should be expected.”

Partners also established the agenda for the official meeting with the European Commission. Beyond.pl’s activities within the M2DC project include a demonstration of demo of starting virtual machine with PaaS application. The brief presentation of our PaaS solution aroused great interest in Palaiseau.

“We have managed to create a CI/CD process. Now every time the code is being changed, it automatically updates the application and releases its new version on public IP address, all without human interaction.” summarizes Stefański.
